How To Apply
Enrollment is limited. Selection is based on academic achievement, but requires, as a minimum, completion of any Level I program with a Cumulative average of at least 3.5 for the B.A. (5.0 for Honours) and a minimum average of 4.0 in Labour Studies 1A03 and 1C03 for the B.A. (5.0 for Honours). Students who have completed only 3 units of Level I Labour Studies may be considered for admission if space is available and are encouraged to apply.

Application Process:
If you are in Level I and are interested in applying to a Level II Labour Studies program:
Complete the on-line MUGSI application (log in to your MUGSI account, go to SOLAR and select Undergrad Program Selection for the September 2012 Session). If you believe that your grades do not reflect your experience and ability, you are welcome to submit a supplementary letter (email to labourstudies@mcmaster.ca).
Other Information
Each year at Level II, Labour Studies admits a total of 60 students to the BA and Honours programs and 10 students to the Minor program. You will receive notification of admission decisions in late May/early June by letter and through your MUGSI account in time for you to register for your Fall 2012 courses.
Applicants who are not accepted into the Honours program will automatically be considered for the B.A. program. If you are not admitted to Honours, you may reapply for the Honours program at the end of year two or three, if your grades are above the minimum averages explained above.
